Just do Dalada Uplands. If you want to you can use the Siege Devourer and pretty much destroy every group in that area. Honestly I don't bother with it. I just run a splinter weapon build on my rit and load up with 4 warriors, 2 monks and a minion master. It takes less than an hour to clear the entire area and if you visit each shrine you'll be getting plenty of bonuses.
Start out with mantids since they're simple then once you have a minion cloud go for the Charr mobs. Avoid Molotov Rocktail since he can wipe half your party in one shot and kill all your minions too.
Each run will net you about 2k Ebon Vanguard points.

just look for the siege devourer.. he kills really fast. plus he pretty much has a infinite speed boost while travelling. just did a run yesterday.. 2 hrs gave me close to 7k (dalada -> sacnoth -> grothmar), and i didn't have the sacnoth temple unlocked. could have gone faster if i didn't get my backside handed to me in the burning forest (avoid avoid!)
if you can, get a human player to go with you. devourers zone with you and you can get 2 for even more firepower.

after i grinded to rank 5 in 4 hours doing quests that dungeon and the place outside doomlore with a charge chain and a devourer i got tired of gw and havent played in a week. it may because i got addicted to gears of war but thats beside the point. also war armor sucks with monument i rage quit gw for a few days after that.so ya all the quests and that one dungeon and ure at about 15-20k points then a few runs of w/e that place is. i got luckyy and got 4 hunt bonuses in a row then i got a rampage thing so i got like 12+ points a kill, 1 more time moltov is easy ever heard of a tank? nuff said /quits forums

Asking how you can get r5 reputation points without grinding is like asking how to waterski without a rope. Yes, grind sucks, but grind is what makes rare items/titles worthwhile, and it's part of just about every MMO.
I just use the devourer like someone else said in Dalada Uplands. I run 2 SH eles and a Healer's boon + Glyph Heal Party Dunkoro with interrupt, illusion and both monk henches. The basic equation is roughly thus: Seige attack + enormous effin body block + Savanah Heat = Dead Charr. I think it goes fast enough.

GW was not supposed to be grindless. Most of the grind in GW is for cosmetic purposes, as opposed to other MMOs where you need to grind just to buy your skills and have armor good enough to not die all the time.
Some people argue that titles break this by making people better by grinding. I argue that people beat all 3 campaigns before PvE skills existed, all they do is make it easier, the grind is still not required.

The Charr Homelands are the most FUN areas to grind.
You got the friggin siege devourer!!
I reccomend you go to Sacnoth Valley. Go from Longeye, get the first siege devourer from across the river, then head south. This way youll avoid the easter approach to the Charr fortress (trust me, youll get decimated).
A siege devourer with 1 MM hero, cynn, herta, 2 monks is all you really need.
Grab another person to farm with, its WAY WAY more fun when you have 2-3 siege devourers.
Put on some nice music and blow up stuff!

Channeling - 12 + 1 + (3/2/1)
Spawning - 12 + 1
Just pre-cast splinter weapon on your two hero warriors. You could also drop Ancestor's rage and replace it with Arcane Echo. That way you can keep splinter on all the warriors.
Also, target the Charr Flameshielders first. They are by far the most damaging of all Charr targets.

Er... then don't play it? But seriously though, he was right. You don't have to grind unless you want prettier items or titles. The fact that most people do is beside the point. If you can't stand grind, MMO's are probably not for you.

Theres really no other more efficient way to get points than Sacnoth Valley.
Last night, me and my guildmate went Ebon vanguard farming.
I went from 11,000ish (rank 3) to 16,000ish (rank 4) in about 2 1/2 hours. We went from Longeye to Grothmar then we cleaned Sacnoth. It would have been faster, but Fozzy and his crew took FOREVER to kill.
The random bonuses are ANNOYING when you have another person with you. I got the patrol rank increase from 2-3-4 quickly, but my guildmate kept getting points instead of the patrol increase, even though we had a high kill count, she only had patrol to 3, i had up to 4.Ill get a hunt bonus and she'll get some time attack.
We saved the bosses for the boss hunt and when we got higher patrol but for the most part, it was easy (except the burning spirits...GUH! They hurt!! T_T) to rack up points. She got to 25k and is almost to rank 5.
Overall it was fun, we didnt really pay much attention to what we were doing. We just bulldozed the zone thanks to the siege devourer (till the Burning Spirits wiped us out).
To people who consider THIS to be a grind, you really need to remember, this is all OPTIONAL.
Im doing this because i want to get rank 5 and craft my Dervish armor. I can craft max armor in other places (i already have max armor), but since its the armor style i want, i have to do what is required to get it.
You wanna know what a grind is?
-constantly repairing weapons
-buying potions
-buying arrows for your bow
-buying poison for your attacks
-constantly repairing armor
-buying new sets of armor every 10 levels
-buying new sets of weapons every 10 levels
-grinding to the next level so you can reach the next area since those bad guys are too strong for you
Guild Wars has no grind, unless playing the game's main storyline is a grind...then you need a break. Everything that takes forever to do is optional. The so called grinds are part of the main storylines.
-Luxon/Kurzick Faction - This barrier is designed so you do quests OR do AB, since that is part of the story, they want you to "befriend" one side or another. They could have easily taken the 10k barrier out and given you a longer primary quest chain, but that removes the option of using AB to earn points. Having a simple 10k faction thing gives you many options on how you want to earn it.
-Sunspear Faction - Do the quests, and youll get to the needed level without any "grind". Again, theres a "You need lvl 7" so that you can pick and choose which quests you want to do instead of being forced into a longer primary quest chain. Or you can kill/slaughter with a bounty if thats more of your thing. Again, you choose how you wanna play.
-Lightbringer - I never really paid attention to this, i got lvl 2 and beat the game without needing to go higher...do i need higher?
-Asura/Norn/EV/Dwarven - You get to lvl 3 without doing any farming, just do primary quests...do i NEED to go higher?

Hmm, I'll have to try this out. From reading your post it sounds as if you could get over 5k faction in a run.
When I do Dalada Uplands I was getting about 2.5k in and hour and a half. I'm going to have to re-run Dalada against the clock and see what I end up with. Then I'll move over to Sancoth and try it.
Time for a little Destructive Research of my own...

Its really the fact that Sacnoth has 4 Charr bosses, 2 Grawl bosses and 1 nasty Djinn boss.
All bosses are worth +200 if you have patrol rank 4. Gain patrol rank 4, then wait for a Boss Bounty (doubles it) and thats 400 points in one kill. I save the bosses when i have a boss bounty or hunt rampage at least.
The bosses in Dalada are too spread out and theres only 4. Grothmar only has 2 bosses.
